Palio is a popular neighborhood coffeeshop located on Ladd Circle, in one of Portland's more beautiful neighborhoods. They are known for the rotating selection of cakes, tarts, pastries, pies and other baked goods they sell, but my favorites are the vegan peanut butter, chocolate chip brownies -- perfect for an afternoon snack. They serve Stumptown coffee and have board games and books for your perusal. With the added benefit of free wi-fi, this is truly a place to linger.
