Eva Schweber: Chief Cat Herder. Eva Schweber is CubeSpace’s Chief Cat Herder, policy wonk and fount of obscure information. She brings over 15 years of collaborative facilitation and organizational management experience to her numerous paid and volunteer gigs. Her professional experience runs the gamut from managing an artisan goat dairy (and was a state-certified pasteurizer) to facilitating a strategic planning effort by an international environmental consortium. Her esoteric background has trained her well for running a co-working community.
In her spare time, Eva serves on the Mayor’s Economic Recovery Cabinet and chairs the Small Business Development Workgroup of the City of Portland’s Small Business Advisory Council, She also sits on the City Club of Portland’s Research Board and in June 2007 was appointed by Governor Ted Kulongowski to serve on Oregon’s Commission for Voluntary Action and Service.
Her blog at http://catherder.wordpress.com is her attempt to reconcile her ever-growing interest in small business with her wonkish tendencies.
David Kominsky: Chief Rabbi. David’s job as CubeSpace founder, owner, and rabbi-at-large is to make sure that the CubeSpace environment is welcoming and fun. Sometimes pompous but rarely taking himself seriously, David can frequently be found wandering around CubeSpace talking about things he may or may not know anything about. David also spends his time providing spiritual, ethical and market research consulting.
Heidi Timberman: Numbers Wrangler. Heidi keeps the books in order even when she has to hog-tie Accounts Payable in order to do it. Heidi isn’t around CubeSpace too much, but even when she’s all the way across town, our finances know that they’d better keep balanced and orderly--or else.
Emily Johnson: Web/Copy Writer, Seamstress, Renaissance Girl. In addition to being one of the smiling faces you'll see staffing the Cubespace front desk, Emily is CubeSpace's resident writer, composing our promotional materials, content for our virtual home here on the web, and other miscellaneous verbiage. She also takes care of any office-decoration needs that require a sewing machine, creates forms and instructions for Cubists and Cubesters, and generally helps things run smoothly.
Beth Raby: Web Site Scribe, Jack-of-all-Trades. Beth is one of the people welcoming you at the front desk or cheerfully answering the phone. She also works on the tech stuff for this very web site and does some graphic design, as well as taking care of whatever needs doing around the office.
